  • 2 cups of chickpeas (cooked)
  • 1 cup of coconut milk
  • 1 large onion (finely chopped)
  • 3 tomatoes (blended)
  • 2 tablespoons of ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tablespoon of garam masala
  • 1 tablespoon of turmeric powder
  • 1 tablespoon of cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon of coriander powder
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons of oil for cooking

Instructions
 

  • Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds and let them splutter. Add finely chopped onions and sauté until golden brown. Add ginger-garlic paste and cook until the raw smell disappears.
  • Introduce turmeric, garam masala, and coriander powder. Stir well, allowing the spices to infuse their flavors into the sautéed mix.
  • Pour in the blended tomatoes, stirring the mixture thoroughly. Let it simmer until the oil separates from the masala.
  • Add the cooked chickpeas to the aromatic masala, ensuring they're coated evenly. Let them absorb the flavors by simmering for 10-15 minutes.
  • Pour in the coconut milk, stirring gently to create a creamy texture. Allow the Chickpea Tikka Masala to simmer for an additional 10 minutes.
