Equipment

  • Wok or large skillet
  • Cooking utensils (such as a spatula or tongs)
  • Cutting board and knife
  • Mixing bowls
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Ingredients

  • 8 oz lo mein noodles
  • 8 oz flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cups mixed vegetables (such as bell peppers, broccoli, and carrots)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Green onions, chopped (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Cook the lo mein noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the sliced beef and cook until browned, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add the mixed vegetables, garlic, and ginger. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
  • Return the beef to the skillet. Add the cooked noodles, soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, and sesame oil. Stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes, or until everything is heated through and well combined.
  • Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot and enjoy!
