Ingredients
  

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts
  • 2 tablespoons Harissa paste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh cilantro or parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the Harissa paste, olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, ground cumin, ground coriander, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well to combine.
  • Add the chicken thighs or breasts to the bowl and toss to coat them evenly in the marinade. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours, to allow the flavors to meld.
  • Preheat your grill, oven, or stovetop to medium-high heat. Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard any excess marinade.
  • Grill, roast, or sauté the chicken until cooked through, flipping halfway through the cooking time, about 6-8 minutes per side for chicken thighs or 4-6 minutes per side for chicken breasts.
  • Once the chicken is cooked through and golden brown on the outside, remove it from the heat and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
  • Serve the Harissa Marinated Chicken hot, garnished with fresh cilantro or parsley if desired.
