Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Hamburger buns for serving

Instructions
 

  • In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked, breaking it up with a wooden spoon as it cooks.
  • Add the diced onion and bell pepper to the skillet and cook until softened about 5 minutes.
  • Transfer the cooked beef, onion, and bell pepper to the slow cooker.
  • Add the tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper to the slow cooker, stirring to combine.
  • Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or on high for 2-3 hours, until the flavors are well blended and the mixture is heated through.
  • Serve the Sloppy Joes on hamburger buns and enjoy!

Cooking Time: The cooking time for this recipe is 4-6 hours on low heat or 2-3 hours on high heat in the crock pot.
