Ingredients
  

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 pound sausage, sliced
  • 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (15 oz) pinto beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet or Dutch oven over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until the onion is soft and translucent, about 5 minutes.
  • Add the sliced sausage to the skillet and cook until browned about 5-7 minutes.
  • Stir in the beans, tomato sauce, brown sugar, and mustard. Mix well to combine all the ingredients.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste. Reduce the heat and let the mixture simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Serve hot with your choice of side dishes.
