- 3 cups cooked chicken (shredded or diced)
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs (Italian seasoned or plain)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
Spread the cooked, shredded chicken evenly in a greased 9x13 inch casserole dish.
Pour the marinara sauce over the chicken, spreading it out so all the chicken is covered.
Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the marinara-covered chicken.
In a small bowl, mix the bread crumbs with olive oil, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and Parmesan cheese. Stir until everything is combined.
Evenly sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture over the top of the cheese layer.
Cover the casserole with foil and bake for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and the breadcrumbs are golden.
Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving.
