  • 1 pound beef sirloin, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the beef sirloin pieces and cook until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes.
  • Add the chopped onion and garlic to the skillet and cook until softened about 3 minutes.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the flour and water to make a slurry.

  • Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook, stirring occasionally, until the gravy has thickened, about 10 minutes.
  • Season the beef tips and gravy with salt and pepper to taste.
