Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb (450g) ground beef
  • 1 medium head of cabbage, chopped
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups (480ml) milk
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup (240ml) beef broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup (100g) shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  • In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add the butter, onion, and garlic. Sauté until the onion is translucent.
  • Sprinkle the flour over the onion and garlic mixture, stirring constantly. Gradually add the milk and beef broth, whisking until smooth. Cook until the sauce thickens.
  • Stir in the chopped cabbage and cook until slightly wilted.
  • In a large pot, combine the ground beef, cabbage mixture, and shredded cheese. Mix well and season with salt and pepper.
  • Transfer the mixture to a casserole dish and bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
